Why must you taunt me?! I always miss the Bag O’ Crap….but I thought I had the mystery box sealed up – I was filling out my credit card info and clicked to complete everything…SOLD OUT! geeze. Maybe it’s for the best after the last mysterbox debacle. Anyone want to buy a sweet his and her watch set? Only $10!

As much as I hate almost all things dealing with America Online, I have grown quite attached to this thing the kids call “IM” or instant messenger AIM to be exact. It seems someone or something no longer wants to allow me to use AIM at work anymore. If I connect at all I get kicked off after 10 minutes or less. I’ve tried changing ports and everything else I can think of. Anyone know of a good reliable proxy server I could try out? I’ve tried AIM Express but it is giving me almost as many troubles (letting me send messages but only receive them for the first 5 minutes after I sign on).

This has forced me to do less IMing and more work! And we all know how much fun work is. (although I do use AIM quite frequently for work purposes) My conclusion is that everyone who I normally communicate with on AIM should get google talk…it seems to be working for the most part.

The insert key has got to be the most worthless key on a keyboard. Not only that but it is in a horrible location…to the right of the backspace key and immediately above the delete key. The only time I ever use this key is by accident when I notice I just overwrote something…then I hit it on purpose once to stop it from doing this. I do realize that it is usually “on” allowing me to type and move text to the right. The off feature is pretty much worthless in this point and click age. I want my computer to always insert and never overwrite. I don’t need a whole key for this, it should be a default…maybe a menu item or a shortcut key combo for those that really want to overwrite, but certainly not a whole key. Maybe I’ll just remove it all together with a pair of plyers. I am hearby starting the anti-insert-key-movement. Let your voice be heard!
