Quoting my mom, “It’s about time!” I popped the big question to Katie yesterday - believe it or not she said yes! We are not sure of a date and location yet but it won’t be until the calendar says 2007. If anyone has any girly questions regarding the wedding or engagement, I will refer you to Katie for those answers. (If you have a question but are wondering if it is regarded as girly…it probably is.)

How did my master plan shake out? I had thought about the jumbotron at an Orioles game, but that is pretty cliché and impersonal…besides, could I really handle that rejection in front of 30,000 of my closest friends? I could have hid it in her food at some romantic restaurant - but who wants to put on a ring covered in cake icing? And what if she accidentally ate it? Instead I proposed on a paddle(pedal?) boat while floating in the tidal basin in DC. Thankfully the ring didn’t fall in the water and Katie said yes. I love her to death and can’t wait to see what our future holds.

Brian Roberts collided with Bubba Crosby at first base and dislocated his shoulder. He’s out for the season…not that there’s much left of it. Hopefully it will be 100% by next season. Lesson learned: never collide with someone named “Bubba”

The Orioles are out of playoff contention this year…but I still hope they beat up on the Yankees a little to knock them out of the playoffs too(They have 6 games left against the Yanks this season). Next year maybe they’ll put together two halves of a season instead of just one.
