I’m trying to knock out some of the themes on my list before I run out of weeks in the year. I had to do a little bit of extra work to get photos this week for Planes Trains & Automobiles. While this blimp is neither a plane, train or automobile – it is a pretty awesome floating vehicle.

Theme 48 was portraits. I decided to use this theme to get started on the 100 Strangers project. Basically, it is a group of photographers that go out into the world, meet a stranger, talk to them for a bit, and get their permission to take their photo. As of this writing, I’ve done four portraits for the strangers project and still have a ways to go to complete it.

A few people declined to be photographed which was fine. Two people agreed to be photographed but did not want to appear on the web, only one of which did I actually end up taking his photo. It’s definitely a bumpy process, but it helps me with my people skills.

This week’s theme was Refreshing… which was yet another theme chosen after taking the actual photos. Pictured is another beer I picked up at The Foodery.

Next theme may be portraits… If so, I’m going to attempt to go talk to random strangers in Rittenhouse Square and get them to let me take their portraits…should be interesting.
