Photo Blogger
01/16/2007
I finally purchased a digital SLR camera after researching for a while. I’ve had an interest in photography for quite some time…back in high school I took a class where we took black and white film photos and developed them ourselves in the darkroom. We even made our own pinhole cameras out of Quaker Oats boxes that required something like 30 minutes of exposure time. In college I took another course for fun where we focused more on composition and didn’t do any dark room activites. If I find my final project contact sheet (an 8×12 sheet with a bunch of small photos) I will scan and post it, but I really don’t know where it is if I even have it.
I want to do some sort of photo project, whether it’s random photo blogging (phlogging?) or actually picking a theme like running from the camera. (Although Jason may be stealing this idea too so I should start first so I look like the original stealer instead of the secondary stealer) Maybe I’ll try something similar but with my own unique twist to it… like setting the timer on 5 seconds and taking off as much clothes as possible. During winter I won’t get too far, but come summer everyone will be in for quite the treat and/or letdown.
I also posted this blog with a new tag “Photography”. This should be the first of many to come, some with text and others with just photos. The camera is scheduled to be delivered on Thursday (it’s currently in Waco, TX), so start looking for photos here and on my flickr page.
