The people calling in were stunning. Best moment: one caller speaking to another (both state-side bloggers, IIRC), "Wait, did he just compare Islam to the KKK?" His apology would mean nothing to me. I want elected officials who are genuinely good people, not just pretend to be. I just wanted to point out that he is a bigot and has no place in an elected office. Hopefully he won't get reelected because of this. My problem is that we have become to apologetic when it comes to other beliefs, races, etc. I'm tired of people apologizing for having a different opinion.
