“Mayham” – Episode 68 Summary

So the big news is that Tony finally wakes up from his coma (even though he can’t talk and seems pretty confused) after meeting Steve Buscemi in his dream/coma state who tells him he is “going home now”. You may remember Buscemi (Tony Blundetto – Tony Soprano’s cousin during season 5) who met an unfortunate death from a shotgun fired by Tony Soprano himself. This isn’t the first time a dead character has come back in later episodes; Drea De Matteo (Adriana La Cerva – Christopher’s Fiance) appeared next to Carmella in a dream earlier this season and I believe there were post death appearances by Joe Pantoliano (Ralph Cifaretto) and Vincent Pastore (Salvatore ‘Big Pussy’ Bonpensiero) (I definately remember a talking fish scene with Tony and Big Pussy).

Timothy Daly (of Wings fame) returns as J.T. Dolan – he gets beaten with an iBook. The A.J. getting revenge on Uncle Junior storyline also seemed to come to a rather abrupt ending…if it’s never mentioned again then introducing it at all is pretty lame. Seems like it was just there to add suspense between this episode and the last but without anything cool happening. Scenes from next week included Tony alert and yelling at people in his hospital room…ahhh – back to normal.

Christopher Moltisanti also made an appearance on Family Guy last night. In the scene, you think Christopher is helping Stewie dispose of his half-brother’s body, but it turns out they are just planting a tree.
