MarioKart 64 rules and I still like to play it even after many years of owning the game and even after the console has been replaced and that new console will soon be replaced. (And like most MarioKart fans, Super MarioKart for the Super Nintento is what got me hooked.) Last night Steve, Anthony, Stan, and I had a mini-MarioKart-athon at the pink sock (aka my and stan’s apartment).

After racing every track on VS and playing a few rounds of battle mode we needed to add a twist to spice it up. Whoever came in last place (VS mode) had to take a shot of the liquor of their choice. Steve’s liquor of choice for the evening: tequila. Stan’s liquor of choice: tequila. Anthony’s liquor of choice: vodka. My liquor of choice: well I never came in last after we implemented the new rule so I stuck to my Shiner Bock beer.

Into the game about 4 or 5 races, Anthony “Doh Blog” Stets (Toine) had to take his second shot – Stan even had his camera out because Toine’s face spasmed in 10 directions at once after the first shot, and Stan wanted to remember this. After finally taking the shot (more of a slow pour than a shot really) it appears he had swollowed and began making his famed “O” face. Then it happened… Every bit of liquid that was in Toine’s mouth came racing back out in incredible speed, completely drenching my face, head, and shirt…There was liquid dripping from my face. As far as I knew he had swollowed part or all of the shot and I had no idea what mixture of liquids/DNA was on my face. While I did find this cryingly funny, I quickly made my way into the shower for a quick cleansing.

When I returned to the living room ato assess the damage, a clear outline of my body was on the couch… Picture a person standing against a white wall while it’s being spray painted with red paint. After the person walks away the entire wall is red except a silhouette of their body. Now pretend this is a couch I am sitting on and the “paint” is coming out of someone’s mouth. Fortunately (and I really want to believe this), Toine said he never swallowed the liquid, that he gag reflex kicked in or something like that when he tried to swallow. I really hope Stan got a picture of something during this episode…
