DS27930
07/8/2004
So I’ve been looking for a new TV for a little while now. I finally decided on a Sanyo DS27930. So I headed over to WalMart because that is the only place I could get it in the Winchester area. I pay for it and a walmart employee loads it up on a dolly to take out to my car. I ask him if he wants me to pull my car up to the door to make it easier, he says no, he’ll take it to the car. Turns out it doesn’t fit into my car and I’m going to come back with a bigger vehicle. Long story short…I look up as I’m sitting in my car and the TV falls off the dolly to smack the ground pretty hard, as it is pretty heavy. I ask him if it’s broke and he replies, “Not broke, just dirty.” After he pulls it back inside a woman asks me if I saw it fall and says it made a really loud noise when it hit the ground.
So I drive home to get the truck and decide that I’m not going to take that particular TV, I’d rather switch it for another of the same model. Well when I return, the guy who dropped the TV acts like I’m making up the whole thing and the other employees act like I’m trying to get a free tv. Of course I’m making all of this up because I desperately want the exact same model tv, in the same box, just not the one I got the first time and that’s why I made up the whole story about the guy dropping the TV. People are dumb…I may have to make WalMart the newest addition to my hate list.
Lesson Learned: Avoid Wal-Mart at all costs

In other news: My starting date for work has been pushed back a week to the 19th. This means I have another week of sleeping in and enjoying my summer. On the other hand this is the second push back and I kind of want to get started, but I’m not going to complain about extra vacation.
